CVA High School Attendance Policy
In Person Attendance
All CVA students will be required to report to a CSD building occasionally to meet CVA, Centennial School District, or State of Oregon requirements.
Bus passes will be available, if needed, please inquire with your Advisor teacher.
Reasons for In-Person attendance include but are not limited to:
- Meet in person with CVA Advisor, Counselor, other staff
- Take in-person assessments to monitor academic progress (ex. Reading, Math, Finals or other Summative Assessments).
- Complete state assessments
- Demonstrate Proficiency on prior knowledge (exam), or in order to advance a student's curriculum/pacing.
- Academic Integrity (ex. in response to plagiarism): Show your work under the supervision of CVA staff.
- Graduation planning or forecasting for classes.
- Opportunities to take national exams, attend field trips, other school events.
At CVA, we are excited that we can offer so much academic access and flexibility in a virtual learning environment. We also believe that intermittent in-person schoolwork is a reasonable and necessary component of our program.
Please reach out to your Advisor to discuss any alternatives to the above, which will require staff and or administrative exception. Lastly, it is important to note that the above is not intended to be comprehensive, but rather to update and/or remind you of some of the important critical components.
